I had a few minutes to try one of Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza lunch specials today. I ordered the Sausage Burger and it was great. Imagine a large patty of ground sausage mixed with onions, peppers, and mozzarella cheese. Then cover it in Anthony's red sauce and serve on round thin pizza bread.
It was quite delicious. I am a meat person and my only complaint would be that it was too much meat. I think this would be a great item to share. Mixing it up with a roasted chicken sandwich or a personal pizza would have been perfect.

Cantina Laredo, Hallandale FL
Went to Cantina Laredo for lunch today. It just open in the Village at Gulfstream. Very nice restaurant with good prices. I had the Cilantro Chicken Salad. It was excellent! The salad had more chicken that I would have expected and a nice surprise of shredded queso blanco on the top. I would definitely recommend. By Word of Mouth Bakery and Restaurant
There are a few well kept food secrets in South Florida. By Word of Mouth is certainly one of them. Their menu is devine and only topped by their desserts. We picked up the Savana Banana Pie for my Grandmother's birthday last week. The description does not do it justice: Amaretto cookie crust brushed with chocolate truffle ganache. Layers of bananas in caramel, topped with whipped cream and dusted with crushed English Toffee. It is the perfect pie! I highly recommend it.

The Guinea Pub in Mayfair London
I just found this Web site: http://www.theguinea.co.uk. I ate there years ago. I was my first experience with a Steak and Mushroom Pie. It made some impression, because if I ever made it back to London, I would go out of my way just to get that pie again.
The restaurant was quaint and a bit on the elegant side as I remember versus some of the other places we visited. I would highly recommend it! Plus they won the Steak Pie of the Century Award!

The Best Burger in South Florida - Jacks Old Fashioned Hamburgers
Just got back from introducing two newbies to Jacks Old Fashioned Hamburgers. My tip is get the ½ pound buger and cut it in half to make it last longer.
Welcome to the South Florida Restaurant Review
I have always wanted to review restaurants and make recommendations for dinning in the Broward / Miami-Dade Counties area. This Blog will chronicle my dining experiences and will detail menu recommendations.
